The Japanese Tattoo Book Review

in Arts/Tattoo by

This very attractive photo book is filled with beautiful story lines – through not only photos of unique art, but also through the outlook of the written word. The talented author of these texts does an incredible job of describing the vivid images that appear on the pages through her way with words. She tells a great story and really captures the reader in her detailed stories. This is filled with a lot of painful pieces of art, described brilliantly and brightly by Fellman. She writes as though she is truly experiencing the image captured through the lens that appears on the page in front of you. She makes you think twice about the picture you just saw and look deeper into the meaning of the design and the true intention that the artist had when they were first sketching them. These tattoos are absolutely legendary and are exactly what I was looking for.

The Japanese Tattoo

I was really looking to be inspired by some new tattoos and the feelings that they evoke in us. I wanted to understand the deeper meaning of tattoos and the importance of pieces of art that are permanently inked on people’s bodies. I wanted to understand the feeling of knowing that something is so strong and means so many things that you just physically and literally want it to be a part of you. I wanted to see something that told a story and made me feel passionate about tattoos again because lately all I have been seeing is hearts and quotes and pictures of Disney characters. I kept seeing something on someone’s body that was not just a design and that did not evoke any special emotion in me. I wanted to find a real piece of actual art, and this is exactly what I was looking for. It has inspired me endlessly to not just design, but to tell stories through my drawings. They are violent and descriptive, and just outright breathtaking. Something like this does not always come along in the tattoo world. These pictures describe a very vivid time and a painful one at that. They show a world that was filled with pain and violence, and it really inspired me to create some very detailed and inspired works.

If you are looking to see something completely different from mainstream tattooing, this is what you are looking for. This is an incredibly inspirational book. It will give you a whole new outlook on tattooing. If you are looking for a book to show someone who hates tattooing just how beautiful it can be, this is perfect. It shows a whole different side of the art. It has an extreme sense of every depiction of the tattoos.

The photos are crisp and defined. I really am impressed with how detailed the photos are. I didn’t expect the quality to be that great. This is the perfect book for someone who wants to read up on tattoos as well as look at some beautiful creations that are not traditional, Americanized tattoos.
